October in Norrö...

Got up from the computer and went for a walk out north of our house, in Säby and Norrö, it was such a crisp, clear, brisk end of the afternoon...Too good to be indoors!...Everything is wet from the rain, it's not quite the time for the colors at their strongest...I like this in-between time: it's clearly not late-summer anymore, it's early fall...But fall won't last too long here...Berries, mushrooms, and the sunflower-cousins flaming out one last time...

Among the villas along the lake a very old house, tumbling down slowly in the middle of a terraced garden...The coming snows may just finish off the roof...

Shadows growing longer by the day, the sun barely making it over the top of the building opposite our kitchen, 10 C. outside...On the Roslags commuter train you don't pull down the sunshades now because it doesn't get hot in the left-hand side windows, one just enjoys the warmth on the back of the neck...Days for turning on lights and getting out the gloves...Looking for the candle-holders...Pepparkaka ice-cream sandwiches at ICA again... Posted by Picasa
